KARLYN BLUMENTHAL

Karlyn is the Operations and Negotiations Manager for American Litigation Law Group. Karlyn graduated from The University of Oklahoma Paralegal Program in 1990 and holds a national certification for Paralegals.  Karlyn holds an Adjunct Instructor position with the Paralegal Department at OU College of Law Paralegal Studies.  This teaching position is something held near to her heart because she is a second-generation faculty member at OU; as Karlyn’s mother, Joan was the OU Women’s Golf Coach from 1975-1982.  Leading by example and being diligent in her work, Karlyn finds supervising, mentoring and educating upcoming paralegals very rewarding.

Outside of work, Karlyn enjoys spending time with her daughter, Tara, and her granddaughter, Jaxyn—especially watching Jaxyn compete in golf. Karlyn has long been involved in a variety of athletic activities, including powerlifting. After a broken and dislocated femur and major surgery in 2024, her surgeon recommended incorporating powerlifting into her ongoing rehabilitation, something she had never imagined doing.

A year and a half later, Karlyn not only embraced the sport but began competing in it. To date, she has earned first place in two local powerlifting competitions, setting a record along the way. She plans to pursue the sport as far as she can and looks forward to entering additional competitions.
